United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" Understanding built through experiences translated my drive into dream. Being a
Millennium fellow has brought the interpretation of this dream, a dream to impact the
health life of the communities. It gave me the opportunity to work with fellows of like
minds with common goal of sustainable development through community health
research, and as well having the access to the resources need to materialize this. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Students for Special Hearts

The foundation focuses on improving the lives of children with disabilities and those in orphanage homes by addressing their health, nutrition, education, and overall well-being. Its initiatives align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), emphasizing care for children with special needs. The organization aims to foster partnerships with larger organizations, promote healthy growth, and equip children with education and skills for a better future.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ugwuegbu Chinecherem Johnpaul is a Medical student at the University of Ibadan in
Nigeria. He was born in Nigeria, resides in Oyo state, Ibadan. Johnpaul is a visionary
who has always been passionate about the health care of the global communities and
aims to make impact through the project Community Health Impact Research
Initiative. His life experiences, living in the local underserved community sprang his
drive and ardent desire towards this initiative.
He has distinguished himself in academic excellence throughout his years in high
school and currently in the University as well, by leading and participating in various
health empowerment programmes and local outreaches. Johnpaul aspires to bring
sustainable, quality, and improved life growth to the global communities through his
research work, consequently providing his contribution in the development of the
United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
