Millennium Fellowship Project: Samartha: Justice for All, Knowledge for Empowerment
Samartha is a transformative social impact project designed to bridge the gap between legal awareness and accessible justice for underserved communities. The initiative focuses on community-centric legal empowerment, using educational resources, social media storytelling, and partnerships to simplify legal knowledge and make it practical. The project aims to empower marginalized groups, including low-income individuals, non-English speakers, children, and rural residents, by providing accessible legal information and promoting sustainable legal practices like Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
About the Millennium Fellow
Pulugam Devaki is a law student at the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, driven to foster societal change through legal awareness. Inspired by personal observation of the long battle for justice, Pulugam Devaki is committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge of their legal rights. With a focus on sustainability and an aim to spread legal awareness, Pulugam Devaki’s efforts align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Pulugam Devaki has a strong interest in legal reforms and policymaking.
