Millennium Fellowship Project: EmpowerEd: Affordable, Quality Education For All
Gopali Youth Welfare Society addresses a very important issue: lack of quality education among underprivileged children. Our objective is to build a learning environment that is inclusive enough to be necessary for skills, resource, and support for young learners to pursue sustainable growth and future opportunities. Through Jagriti Vidya Mandir, we offer free education, meals, uniforms, and additional support like extra classes for poor students and coaching for higher studies. It is helpful to over 150 students every year and ensures that financial constraints do not hinder the students' academic journey. We hope that in facilitating their holistic development, we will be able to make a long-lasting positive social impact and that students can break cycles of poverty and gain better opportunities in life. An expansion initiative - LiGHT hopes to extend this model nationwide to more underserved communities. This initiative is active and ever-growing.
