About the Millennium Fellow

I’m Vanshul Shikkewal, and I am currently pursuing Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. Alongside my technical education, I’ve been deeply involved in initiatives promoting inclusivity, social justice, and gender neutrality. One of my notable contributions was leading the amendment of the Gymkhana Constitution after 22 years, making it gender-neutral and more inclusive of LGBTQIA+ members.
I’m passionate about finding impactful solutions, like a recent project aimed at regulating India's private healthcare sector to prevent exploitation during emergencies. In addition, I’ve mentored a group of peers on navigating academic and social life.
