" Impact is the sole measure of change. Being a Millennium Fellow empowers me and all other stakeholders to collaborate and bring about positive growth in the best possible way. Moreover, the community of Fellows that I will have exclusive access to is something I'll treasure. To converse with like-minded, driven youth all across the globe with a vision in mind and a fire in the belly is something I look forward to. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Shakti

Shakti is a project focused on raising awareness about the challenges of period poverty. It aims to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and foster open conversations about it. Through digital media, the project educates people on the social, cultural, and economic barriers that prevent access to menstrual products and proper sanitation. Shakti's goal is to create a space where menstruation is openly discussed, and people feel empowered to address these issues without shame or embarrassment. It’s all about shifting the narrative and ensuring that menstruation is recognized as a normal and essential part of life.
