Millennium Fellowship Project: RIJA: Understanding, Supporting and Empowering

Rija is our social impact project aimed at providing pro bono legal representation to underrepresented and marginalized individuals who lack access to proper legal counsel. Through this initiative, we seek to promote justice and equality by ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their financial means, can have their voices heard and their rights protected.

About the Millennium Fellow

Meet miss Mehak Mahar, a bright, young lady from the interior sindh where girls are not allowed to study, doing wonders in the field of law. She is from sukkur Sindh, being the first lady from her family getting higher education that too in a field of law which is considered the "male dominant field". Since childhood she has been passionate about being the voice of voiceless. She was curious about the world leaders who pursued law and changed the world for good. She is actively engaged in different organisations working for the betterment of law students and society specially regarding women. She hopes to become a judge after her degree and aims to deliver Speedy justice to citizens of Pakistan. Mehak is also passionate about working on SDGs and she has been continuously working on climate action as she has done the project in Amal fellowship funded by Standford university, called as green bags for green Pakistan. Through Millennium she hopes to continue to work for the climate action.
