About the Millennium Fellow
Naveed Hussain, a passionate law student based in Islamabad, originally hailing from the breathtaking far-off valley of Gilgit Baltistan. With a heart deeply rooted in the mountains, he brings a unique perspective and diverse set of experiences to the world of law and diplomacy.
He is currently pursuing his law degree in Islamabad, where I he has delved into the intricacies of legal studies. His academic journey has equipped him with a solid foundation, enabling him to comprehend and analyze complex legal issues.
Before his legal pursuits, he ventured into the realms of teaching and tourism. Serving as a tourist guide, he had the privilege of showcasing the enchanting beauty of Gilgit Baltistan to visitors from around the globe. This experience not only honed his communication skills but also instilled in him a deep appreciation for cultural diversity.
In my quest for linguistic excellence, I underwent an English language course facilitated by the US Embassy. This immersive experience not only polished his language skills but also broadened his horizons, fostering a global perspective crucial in today's interconnected world.
To gain insights into the intricate dynamics of international relations, he completed an enriching internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan. This invaluable experience allowed him to witness diplomacy in action, understand the importance of effective communication, and grasp the nuances of cross-cultural interactions.
He is driven by a relentless passion for justice, diplomacy, and cultural exchange. His journey from the mountains of Gilgit Baltistan to the corridors of legal academia and foreign affairs has shaped his commitment to contributing meaningfully to the world around him.
As he continue his legal education, he is eager to merge his academic knowledge with practical experiences, working towards a career that combines law, diplomacy, and advocacy. He aspires to be a catalyst for positive change, fostering understanding and cooperation on both local and international fronts.
Currently, he is associated with different organizations like the Red Crescent, Amnesty International and Akhuwat Foundation as a volunteer.
