Millennium Fellowship Project: HerFuture

"HerFuture" is a group project led by Millennium Fellows Fiza Idrees, Waleeja Bushara, and Syeda Arifa Imam and Maryam bilal This project aims to uplift and empower women and girls through education and entrepreneurship, providing them with the skills, resources, and support necessary to succeed in business and life. By fostering a community of female entrepreneurs, we seek to break down barriers, challenge gender stereotypes, and promote economic growth and social change. It is a holistic initiative dedicated to transforming the lives of women and girls.
We focus on providing basic education, awareness about their rights, and entrepreneurship training to foster independence. By bridging educational gaps, promoting gender equality, and encouraging economic self-sufficiency, we empower women to become confident, self-reliant individuals. This project also focuses on their mental and physical health. Shortly, we will add more things to it like harassment and femicide disguised as honor, and wanted to create awareness and steps to stop that and support the victims and stand with them. Our mission is to create a ripple effect of positive change, enabling women to break free from societal constraints and reach their full potential, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and prosperous community. We aim to uplift females as independent and respectful individuals in society without fear and enjoy stressful-free lives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Fiza Idrees, a dedicated student of BS English Literature in her 7th semester, is a passionate advocate for women's education. She was born in a small town in Pakistan. She saw injustice with females happening around her from her childhood. She had already made up her mind that she would do something for them. She envisions a society where females are empowered through education and entrepreneurship and is determined to make this vision a reality.
Fiza's ultimate goal is to establish a global organization that ensures every female in her community has access to basic education, and skills and helps females in their entrepreneurial journey. An organization that stood with the victims of harassment and femicide in the name of honor. With unwavering commitment and perseverance, she is working towards creating a brighter future for women, where they can reach their full potential and make meaningful contributions to society. For this, she is currently working in a society named IUB Entrepreneurship Society as a Vice President and organized multiple events to empower female entrepreneurship. She is working very hard to achieve her goal and make this society a peaceful place for females. Her dream is a beacon of hope for a better tomorrow.
