" Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will enhance my soft skills, improve my projects, and create a community of students on my campus who work for peacebuilding in their daily lives. As an academic community, we have many obstacles and ruptures in our relationships with others, problems with mental health, and others, by establishing dialogue and consensus, we look for strengths and partnerships. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Campus In Peace
This project aims to cultivate a generation of young leaders and peacemakers in Latin America, focusing on the transformative power of dialogue and specialized training. Participants will gain expertise in three critical areas—Climate Change Advocacy, Peacemaking Initiatives, and Gender Equality Awareness—equipping them to address pressing social issues and drive positive change in their communities.
About the Millennium Fellow
Valeria Rodriguez is a young leader, curious and reflexive person who asks herself about the human condition and cultural manifestations of identity. She is a student of anthropology and political sciences. The main motivation in her life is to serve people and improve their living conditions by working on peacebuilding, human rights, environmental actions, culture, and political participation in Colombia. One of her happiest memories was when she and her community built an urban garden in their neighborhood. She is part of leadership networks and currently, she's at the National Museum of Colombia learning about diversity and representation in museology and pedagogical practices.
