" As a Millennium Fellow, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to merge my passion for engineering with a commitment to social good. I am driven by the belief that technology, when applied thoughtfully, can be a powerful tool for solving complex challenges. Through this fellowship, I aim to develop sustainable solutions that not only address pressing issues in my community but also contribute to the broader goals of global development. This work excites me because it allows me to make a tangible impact while growing as a leader and innovator. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Community Outreach to the Elderly
My project, Community Outreach to the Elderly, focuses on addressing loneliness and isolation among elderly individuals, particularly those who have lost a spouse. Through regular visits and partnerships with groups like the Woman’s Guild, we provide companionship, listen to their stories and foster intergenerational connections. The initiative aims to restore dignity, create a sense of belonging and ensure that no elderly person feels forgotten. It’s about building meaningful human connections and celebrating the wisdom and experiences of our elders.
