" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides a unique platform to collaborate with like-minded leaders who are passionate about driving sustainable change. I do this work because I believe that by empowering our generation, we can collectively address the challenges facing our world and create a brighter, more equitable future for all." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Jomo Kenyatta University Project Management Students Association

At its core, the Jomo Kenyatta University Project Management Students Association (JKUPMSA) is about empowering students to grow, lead, and make a difference. Our mission is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world project management. We aim to create a space where students can gain hands-on experience, connect with mentors, and build skills that prepare them for the challenges of managing projects in the modern world.Through the support of the Millennium Fellowship, we’ve taken this mission further by aligning our efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, we focus on SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. This means offering workshops, hosting events, and building partnerships that inspire innovation and collaboration while fostering sustainability. At the heart of JKUPMSA are the students—young people who are passionate, curious, and eager to make an impact. By supporting their growth, we’re not just building better project managers; we’re shaping leaders who can drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
