" I’m thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe our generation has an opportunity to address the climate crisis, especially in the Horn of Africa where I reside. We contribute only about 3-4% to global climate change, yet disproportionately suffer from its harshest impacts, from droughts to food insecurity. Engaging youth in these crucial conversations and actions is a powerful step towards paving a carbon-neutral future. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Campus Initiative

The Green Campus Initiative is a local project and model for advancing the SDGs at a grassroots level. We plant trees, collect waste and spread awareness and in the process, are aiming to prove the power of youth driven solutions to global challenges.
