" I want to be a Millennium Fellow because this will allow me to express my vision and shape it into a reality. It will give me an access to the global network which will groom me for the obstacles that I will be facing for the project that I have undertaken. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Rah-e-Taleem

The name of my project is Rah-e-Taleem which means path for education and I have developed this project for the sake of people who migrated from Assam to Delhi for better working and living opportunities. But unfortunately their life is worse in Delhi as compared to how they would be living in Assam. Most of these people are bengali muslims from Assam and the adults in these settlements work as door to door rag pickers and some in the dumpyard where they live live in. The living conditions are horrible, not a place for people live and grow their children. Lack of basic civic amenities and lask of proper education. The children are way behind the children of their age in terms of knowledge and basic life skills. So, here i volunteered as a teacher along with TPR India and tried to teach these children who can further teach children in their settlements
