" " I am excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship because it will allow me to connect with a cohort of like-minded peers working towards bringing positive change in society and making the world a better place for all. It will enable me to grow my passions more meaningfully and effectively serve those around me. Being associated with the prestigious Millennium Fellowship will also provide greater credibility to my project and help me become more accountable to myself and my community.” "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Danish

"Danish" is a project aimed at empowering marginalized children and their families in the slum communities near my campus by raising awareness about the importance of education. Many of these children have talent, curiosity, and confidence but lack the guidance and support to overcome challenges in their educational journey.
Through collaboration with the Seekh Foundation, Danish focuses on conducting sessions highlighting how education can shape their future and open opportunities. The project also encourages inclusivity, equality, and harmony.

About the Millennium Fellow

Saniya Gauri is a sophomore pursuing a History Honors degree at Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University). She is passionate about social justice, providing free education to marginalised children with a special focus on women's education. Dedicated to working with social impact organisations and contributing towards positive change in society, she has been associated with umpteen social organisations working for the same cause. After she completes her education, she plans to work and collaborate with NGOs and organisations taking initiatives to provide free quality education to all, especially focusing on ensuring that girls have smooth access to education.
