Millennium Fellowship Project: The Dawn Initiative
The Dawn Initiative seeks to improve the lives of school-going children. By addressing challenges like drug abuse, child neglect, and gender-based violence, it raises awareness, advocates for education, and supports marginalized children to foster a safer, more inclusive community.
About the Millennium Fellow
Harriet Nyaburi Nyabuto is a dedicated Bachelor of Science in Computer Science student at Kabarak University. A proud Kenyan citizen from Nairobi, she currently resides in Nakuru while pursuing her studies. Harriet's passion for giving back to society has been a central part of her life since high school, a commitment she continues to uphold in university. Her vision is to positively impact her community and promote universal access to education for all children. Harriet has actively contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through her leadership skills. She has participated in various events and organized impactful projects focused on advocating for children's education, women's rights, and raising awareness about critical issues such as drug abuse, child neglect, teen pregnancies, and gender-based violence. Harriet believes that the experience and exposure gained through the Millennium Fellowship and the international community will be instrumental in realizing her dream of creating lasting positive change.
