" As an advocate for youth involvement in bettering the community and fostering sustainable solutions, I am often inclined to pursue tasks that lead me closer to these goals. I believe that we can all be part of the change that betters the lives of those in the society. Millennium provides a platform to gain skills while growing those that I already have in addition to being sharpened for greatness. I am excited for the journey! "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Increasing Awareness On Diabetes And Hypertension

Diabetes and Hypertension are chronic diseases that occur later in life as a result of lifestyle choices that people make along the road. A great number of people have either of the two, and some end up developing both. So, it is better to sensitize people from as early as high school and university so that by the time they are old enough, they have adapted healthy habits. At Health is Wealth Youth Kenya, we take initiative to visit high schools and sensitize them on the same. We talk to them about causes, risk factors, management and prevention of said diseases. We get volunteers from those who understand and have them work with us. Before a campaign, we get professionals to train the volunteers so that we can get as much accuracy as possible
