" Ever since I was young, I aimed to help people, but since I belong to not so varsity, I did not have the resources to achieve my dreams. The Millennium Fellowship Is a God for me it is everything that I ever wanted that will help me to become the person I've always intended to be and to reach my purpose artist to help people worldwide. It will allow me to channelise my emotions, thoughts and put them into perspective so that I can give it a physical shape. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Being a Survivor- And Its Perks
As I mentioned in my first-round application, I am
extremely passionate about raising awareness
about mental health issues. My hometown,
Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, has been a high-
profile war zone since the late 1900s, specifically
since July 1988; since then, roughly 41,000
people have died, including soldiers and innocent
civilians who died as collateral damage. I have
seen what it is like when the families of these
people get their loved ones dismembered,
burned, and completely unrecognizable. To fix that, First, I intend to launch a volunteer campaign to
showcase my ideas and educate people on why
it is critical to take the initiative to raise
awareness of mental health and related issues.
Second, i plan on working with NGOs with whom
i have previously worked with to gain access to
more resources to achieve my goal. I intend to
organize workshops and conferences to make
people more aware. Furthermore, I intend to hold
fund-raising events such as talent shows or art
sales where people can come to have fun while
discussing major issues that are prevalent in our
society, particularly in Srinagar, Jammu, and
Kashmir, where people have almost no
knowledge, let alone empathy, for people
suffering from mental illnesses. Even if they
acknowledge the issues, they do not know how
to validate the emotions of others, That the
biggest problem i wish to solve.
