Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health

This Millennium Fellowship project focuses on promoting mental health awareness and resilience in Kashmir. It aims to reduce stigma, increase mental health literacy, and provide support through workshops and counseling sessions led by licensed professionals. This will
Be two month awarness programme. Participants learn coping strategies, resilience skills, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.
The initiative seeks to create a supportive community where mental health is openly discussed and prioritized, aligning with SDG- 12 (Good Health and Well-being). By empowering individuals, the project fosters long-term change and advocacy for mental wellness in the region.

About the Millennium Fellow

Farhat Riyaz is an emerging law student in her fourth year, hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, India. A passionate advocate for social justice, she is a columnist and the co-founder of We The Kashmir Foundation, where she channels her dedication to uplift her community. Farhat also serves as the national spokesperson for the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, using her platform to amplify the voices of students. Her multifaceted roles reflect her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the field of law and beyond.
