United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Elevate8

Jashn-e-Zamastan under our project Elevate8 is a dynamic fest inspired by the principles of SDG-8, which focuses on Decent Work and Economic Growth. This event serves as a platform for fostering entrepreneurship and supporting small-scale businesses by providing them with a space to showcase and sell their products. Through vibrant music and a lively marketplace, it encourages economic participation and community growth, while highlighting the importance of skill development and sustainable livelihoods. Jashn-e-Zamastan embodies the spirit of empowerment and opportunity, creating a festive yet meaningful environment for individuals and businesses to thrive.

About the Millennium Fellow

Marjeena Bashir is a law student and student activist in India, jammu and kashmir who is passionate about causes concerning the less privileged sections of the society. Issues that are all around us the women's rights, the child labour or the poverty depriving those like us the chance to live like us. She believes that it can all be changed for good if each one us does our part in making sure that the world is better place when we leave it than when we came.
