" Caring for the well-being of those around me—both physically and mentally—has always been my life’s driving force. Becoming a Millennium Fellow offers me the opportunity to learn from like-minded changemakers and refine my ability to make the world a healthier place. I’m especially excited to join forces with other fellows to create meaningful social impact by championing SDG 3. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sawazisha Teens forum

We set out to empower high school aged girls between the ages of 16 and 24 against teenage pregnancies. The idea was to speak to them through group forums while at the same time providing sanitary pads and/or contraceptive methods to the most vulnerable ones. We were not able to deliver on the sanitary pads front but we did pass knowledge on methods of contraception.
