" A lot of the work we have been doing in school has been purely theoretical and so has the war on climate change for a big portion. I believe that the Millennium Fellowship will equip me with strong leadership skills and networks that will assist me a lot in championing green buildings and techniques in general. I am so excited to learn from the team. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Build 4 Tomorrow

My project titled 'Build For Tomorrow' was a climate change awareness training geared towards built environment students with an aim of getting them at par with the global conversation surrounding climate change and how their actions would go a long way in either mitigating this or exacerbating the same.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gideon Muratha is a final year Civil Engineering student at Kenyatta University who has a firm belief that we need to change how we do construction for the better of our planet. Ever since I was a young child I really loved the art of creating things which is what pushed me towards doing civil engineering. However, after som in-depth studies I go to learn that the construction industry contributes a lot towards global warming and if change is to be done and felt then there is no better place to start than the school of built environment where we can educate young minds about building for a greener future. My passion spans wide in green construction with my linkedIn dedicated towards teaching people on the best way to construct in a sustainable manner.
