" Most people don't know why they've been put in this world, and with their last breath wish to have left a lasting a legacy and the world slightly better than how they found it. I believe this opportunity will be my step towards creating that legacy and help me in establishing a self and class consciousness through conversations on race and colourism in my community that I've learned from my degree. I look forward to this learning opportunity for myself that I can utilise in future projects when I continue making an impact . "

About the Millennium Fellow
Eiman Ahmed is a young and bright English Literature student at Kinnaird College for Women in Pakistan who largely craves new experiences and the chance to leave her mark in the world. She has always been a passionate advocate for equality in all aspects of life but has never been able to grasp the opportunity to create a difference on a large scale outside of her school curriculum. She has extensively studied the consequences of colonisation in the subcontinent, especially the extent to which colourism has plagued her nation,. and wishes to lessen its impact in her community. Eiman is prone to adopting leadership roles in group settings and aspires to leave a lasting contribution in this project while honing in her research and leadership skills.
