Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and Anti-Drug Abuse Advocacy Initiative
Mental Health and Anti-Drug Abuse Advocacy Initiative is a deliberate targeting project aimed at advancing the Sustainable Development Goal on Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Capacity Building as one of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) principles.
Specifically, the program is curated to de-campaign alcohol and drug use among students while creating awareness of substance use disorders (SUDs) and mental ill- health, which has led to the upsurge of suicidal and homicidal cases within the Kisii campus.
About the Millennium Fellow
Don Glen is a Kenyan born citizen who has beaten all odds and goes beyond horizons to be at par with other fellow citizens nationally and globally. Don is a Communication and Media student in Kisii University with a greater aspiration to be a global citizen who contributes in the social justice activism as well as joining the class of human rights defenders.
Don having been born and brought up Kenya in one of the Kenya's rural areas aspires to be a voice of reason, a model to the upcoming generations who are also struggling to rewrite a new history but faces myriads of challenges.
He believes that through his professionalism he must be the ray of hope to the community that prospectively transcends to the global cardre.
