United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Clean Cities and Communities

Project Clean Cities and Communities is an initiative aimed at tackling the major problem of poor plastic waste management in Ishaka-Municipality, Uganda.
This project is specifically aimed at creating awareness and sensitization of communities and cities.

About the Millennium Fellow

My name is Owilli Calvine Elvis. I am a 3rd year student of civil engineering at Kampala International University-Western Campus in Uganda. I am a student leader as well as a passionate advocate of the SDGs and all schemes that aim at improving our world. I believe in change through proactive interventions to the challenges that the world currently faces and I am committed towards the process of transforming communities for a better world. Thank you!
