Millennium Fellowship Project: Sunawash

Sunawash is an innovative social impact soap business located in Ejisu-Kumasi, Ghana, dedicated to transforming agricultural waste into high-quality, environmentally sustainable soap products. By leveraging plantain peels and palm kernel waste, the company creates biodegradable soaps that are not only effective in cleaning but also contribute to climate action and local community development.
Key Distinctive Features:
- Eco-friendly soap production using organic waste materials
- Cold process manufacturing with zero harmful emissions
- Superior cleaning performance (58 clothes per soap compared to 37 by competitors)
- Enriched with natural vitamins A, C, and E
- Promotes skin health and bacterial resistance

About the Millennium Fellow

An enterprising statistics undergrad at KNUST, I excel at combining analytical rigor with entrepreneurial zeal. As founder and CEO of Sunawash, I've bootstrapped a thriving soap-making business serving the university community, Kumasi and Ejisu market. But my drive extends beyond commerce - l'm an active Enactus member championing social entrepreneurship, and leverage communication skills as a publicity team member for SRC and SCISA.
What makes me unique? An innate ability to spot opportunities, then relentlessly pursue them through initiative and hard work.
