Millennium Fellowship Project: Smart farming For Cocoa, Coffee and Cashew Farmers (FarmChoice)
FarmChoice is a transformative approach to farming, helping farmers especially cocoa, coffee, and cashews make better decisions. Farmers, often need help with tough choices about what to
grow, what nutrients their soil needs, and when to expect harvests. This
impacts hunger, money, and resource use. FarmChoice, powered by IoT and AI,
fills this information gap. It tells farmers what their soil needs, the best way to
farm, and predicts harvests based on planting time.
With the precision FarmChoice gives, investors in agriculture can now be sure
of where their investments are going and have a specific schedule of when to
expect yields and even a close estimate of the yields they will get. Our model
not only gives you results, it also shows how to get better results. We do this
by suggesting the best farming practices for you taking into consideration
carbon sequestration
