"

Millennium Fellowship Project: Our Health, Our Resource

Our Health, Our Resource is a public health campaign aimed at preventing lifestyle-related health issues in Ghana through education and awareness. The project focuses on promoting proper nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and the prevention of chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.
Leveraging workshops, community outreach, and social media campaigns, it empowers individuals, especially youth, to prioritize their health. Through partnerships with health professionals, schools, and community leaders, the initiative contributes to creating healthier communities and advancing SDG Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jerry Justin Acquah is a smart, young and goal oriented medical student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He was born in Essikadu, Western Region Ghana, and lives at Kasoa, Central Region, Ghana. Throughout the life of Jerry, he has been so passionate about the health well-being of people. His early years at Anomabo in the Central Region of Ghana was not devoid of the real life experience of many people, both young and old, who suffer the consequences of various unhealthy lifestyles which could have been avoided if they were well enlightened. This fueled the passion of Jerry to the highest level and hence, his decision to read Medicine, a programme that will provide him with the quality information and the leverage he will need to contribute his quota to the alleviation of this situation. He has read a lot of online courses and attended various seminars also which has provided him with some degree of information on how some of these issues will be addressed. With a very strategic plan and teamwork, he is in the process of launching his first campaign dubbed, "OUR HEALTH, OUR RESOURCE", an initiative that is aimed at enlightening various communities on how to prevent various conditions which are a direct result of one's lifestyle. This, he looks forward to contribute massively towards the United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
