Millennium Fellowship Project: Scholarship Zone
Scholarship Zone is a project led by Muhammed Jeng, a Class of 2024 MCN Fellow. The initiative addresses the challenge of limited access to scholarship opportunities for qualified students seeking to pursue tertiary education.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August 2024 to December 2024), Scholarship Zone will visit final-year high school students to inform them about available scholarships. The project will also distribute flyers and cards with contact information, offering support throughout the scholarship application process.
About the Millennium Fellow
Muhammed Jeng is a brilliant and capable business student at the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Born and raised in The Gambia, a small West African country, Muhammed’s vision transcends borders, marking him as a global citizen in the making.
Passionate about entrepreneurship, Muhammed witches to venture into agribusiness, creating job opportunities for both skilled and unskilled workers. His goal is to mitigate the rising unemployment rate while contributing to the economic well-being of his employees.
During his one year of university education, Muhammed has actively enrolled in various online courses to equip himself with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a change-maker in his community. He has also supported brilliant but needy students in their scholarship application processes, helping them further their education and make meaningful impacts in their respective communities.
Muhammed aspires to connect with individuals who share similar interests and are committed to community development, and he is eager to contribute to the advancement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
