United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will enhance my skills in collaborative problem-solving and systems thinking. The expertise I gain from the Millennium Fellowship will make my social impact on rural education, career guidance, and sustainable agriculture more tangible and aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am excited to increase my anticipatory competence by envisioning new ways to promote food security, empower local farmers, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Promoting Education In Rural Communities

DEGBE FOUNDATION( D - Development, through E - Education, G - Giving, B - Back, and E - Empowerment) is an independent foundation led by Millennium Fellow Raymond Degbe. The DEGBE Foundation aims to promote rural education and empower rural communities through sustainable development initiatives and education support. During the Millennium Fellowship period ( August- December ), DEGBE Foundation will host a minimum of three events online and in person. These event will be more of visitation to Basic and High schools to enlighten students and do some donations. Online discussions to will be held as well. We are aiming of reaching 400 people combined across events.

About the Millennium Fellow

Raymond Degbe is a hardworking and resilient Agricultural Biotechnology student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology-Kumasi. He was Born in Accra, Ghana. For as long as he could recall, Raymond has always been passionate about community impact . This drived him as a results of the challenges he experienced throughout his education. During his Senior and tertiary education, he has formed partinership with friends to promote rural education and career guidance in his community and arround. He has also been helping local farmers who lack science based knowledge. Due to the financial challenges he faced during his basic and senior high education, he decided to promote the market of rice produce. Raymond is determined to be in a professional field where he can connect with experts to gain more knowlege and provide his own contribution to Sustainable Development Goals.
