ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2024

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy Bites

The project healthy bites aims at educating students in Secondary schools in Uganda which types of food they should eat to prevent them selves from being infected with Non communicable diseases. The non communicable diseases include; diabetes, hypertension and other kidney related diseases.
The project further equips students with knowledge and skills on rely on prepare health meals.
Inorder to promote project sustainability, The student were further educated on backyard gardening. They were taught how to grow vegetables from plastic bottles. This indicates how the project is reducing on the plastic burden by reusing the plastics in backyard gardening.

About the Millennium Fellow

I am Kiggundu Ronald Reagan, a vegan and effective altruist aged 24 years.
I was born in Mityana, Central Uganda but currently residing in Kampala, Uganda's capital city.
I have a diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community health but currently pursuing a bachelor of science in Education (Biological).
I having grown from an underserved community, It justifies my passion for creating a positive change in my community to improve people's livelihoods.
