Millennium Fellowship Project: Enhancing Mental Health Well being in Schools

Providing school-based mental health services to students. These include providing mental health education to increase awareness, establishing school mental health clubs to encourage peer-to-peer support and collaborating with schools to develop school mental health programmes.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ssengooba Yunusu is a dedicated mental health counselor. He holds a bachelor's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Kyambogo University. He has earned certificates in Mental Health, Recovery ,Social Inclusion, Women Empowerment and Gender Equality for Sustainable Development. He is a volunteer mental health counselor at Butabika National Mental Referral Hospital in Uganda and the founder of the Consortium For Counselling Uganda, Yunusu is committed to addressing mental health disorders through providing professional counseling and guidance services. He also serves as the Campus Ambassador for the American Psychological Association at Kyambogo University 2024. He is a member of the International Society for Substance Use Professionals and the Uganda Counseling Association, Yunusu is an addiction professional focused on addressing substance use disorders. He is a leader passionate about solution-based leadership that is empathetic and tailored to collaboratively working with people to address community concerns and enhance overall well-being.
