" I want to be a Millennium Fellow to learn skills that can be useful towards social impact.
Learning and working with people of different fields will enlighten me in areas I have not considered and help me to see possibilities where I once saw impossibilities.
I would get resources that would prove helpful and assist in my work towards social impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: MindSpace

The project 'MindSpace' aims to promote mental well-being in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3. From experience, I've seen how essential it is for young people to prioritize and safeguard their mental health. Mental health is equally as vital as physical health, and nurturing it contributes positively to overall well-being.
My goal is to engage young people in meaningful discussions about mental health, equipping them with tools to protect and prioritize their mental well-being. This initiative envisions a healthier, more resilient generation empowered to foster a stronger society.
While my target was to speak to youths between ages 15 to 25, I had to change the audience due to constraints of time and resources.

About the Millennium Fellow

Elizabeth Adedokun is a final year student of Religions and Peace Studies at Lagos State University (LASU), Nigeria. She is an advocate for the mental health of youths and preaches against actions that can affect the mental health. As someone concerned about youths, she hosts an annual talk tagged Suicide Discussion to talk about one of the most shunned topics by society and help youths overcome challenges they face and find hope. Elizabeth hopes that this way she is able to contribute to Sustainable Goal 3.
