Also, the skills I acquire from Millennium Fellowship will make a social impact for the community at large, which will aligned with the UNAI Principles and SDGs. I am excited for this new was of learning and creativity, but most importantly, enlightening my community about the dangers of abuse , especially on women and children. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Educate and Empower
My project is centered on raising awareness on child abuse, specifically mental abuse. I realised that most people in my community do not consider mental abuse as abuse. Hence, my project is focused on enlightening both the teachers, as well as, the students on both on mental abuse.
About the Millennium Fellow
Seriki Fathia Ayotomiwa is a third year law student of the faculty of law, at Lagos State University . She was born in Nigeria, resides in Oyo State, Ibadan, and is currently studying at Lagos State University. Fathia is very passionate about advocating against abuse, especially to women and children. She also aspires to lend her voice to the battle against the inhumane treatment of women and children around the world. She also aims to provide her own contributions in the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goal.
