" The need for sustainable solutions to community challenges like the effects of climate change global warming and digital divide, motivates me to pursue my career and passion for sustainability and circularity. I believe being a millennium fellow will provide better ways to solve problems faster and multiply the impact rate, being part of a global family.
I am excited to see things in new ways, and explore the various dimensions of positive influence on the global communities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Hydro-Electric Power Plant
The utilization of water flow of the lagoon beside the Lagos State University Epe Campus, to generate electricity through a water wheel is a traditional yet highly effective method. It involves harnessing the kinetic energy of a flowing water to rotate a wheel, which in turn powers an electrical generator through mechanical transmission units.
A water wheel, also known as a hydro power wheel or water turbine, is a device designed to convert the energy of flowing water into mechanical energy. It typically consists of a large wheel with blades attached around it’s circumference. When water flows over or under the wheel, it rotates thereby converting the kinetic energy of the water into rotational energy.
