United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Be BP Smart

BE BP SMART is a public health initiative that advances SDG 3. It is focused on combating hypertension, a silent killer affecting millions globally. The project aims to raise awareness about hypertension, promote lifestyle modifications, and facilitate early detection through free blood pressure screenings. By combining education with action, BE BP SMART empowers individuals to take control of their health and reduces the risk of complications associated with high blood pressure.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lateefat Mustapha is a young, competitive and empathetic Medical Student from Lagos State University College of Medicine. She was born in the United States of America, resides in Nigeria and is currently studying in Lagos, Nigeria. Lateefat has always been passionate about her advocacies for Mental Health, Gender Equality and Sexual Health Reproductive Health. For as long as she can remember and currently in her college years, she has successfully organized various philanthropic activities and movements surrounding the advocacies she has keen interest in. Through her continuous learning and leadership, she plans to continue this in the future. Lateefat aims to work towards her medical career and provide her own contribution in the development of the Sustainable Developmental Goals
