" Shorinolu Olamilekan Samuel is a young impact-driven 4th year medical student at the Lagos State University College of medicine, Ikeja. Due to where he came from, Samuel has always been passionate about making impact wherever he finds himself. He is an advocate of SDGs 3 and 4. He currently serves as a Liaison Officer of the Nigerian Medical Students' Association ( NiMSA) Southwest Regional Directorate on Public Health Awareness and Advocacy where he has been instrumental in the actualization of SDG3 in his immediate environment. He is the Pioneer Organizing Officer of the Lagos State University College of Medicine Emerging Leaders Club. Samuel aspires to be in a professional field where he can expand his horizons and cultivate his advocacies further. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: MEDICAWARE
MEDICAWARE is a project that is targeted at addressing the deficit in health awareness, by carrying out advocacy and awareness campaigns to secondary schools, with a target audience of children/students between the ages of 10-17, with the intention of educating them about infectious and noninfectious diseases and health conditions, their modes of prevention and typical signs and symptoms. Hereby enabling them to be better informed and then also to disseminate this information amongst members of their friend groups, their family and community at large.
About the Millennium Fellow
Shorinolu Olamilekan Samuel is a young and intelligent medical student at the Lagos State University College of medicine, Ikeja. Due to where he came from, Samuel has always been passionate about making impact and changing the lives of people around him. He grew up in an environment where only the privileged are able to further into university, where people are not cognizant of the effect of the environment on their health. All this made Samuel really passionate about Public health awareness and what drove him into leading several projects about health awareness throughout his college years. He currently serves in his college as the Liaison Officer of the Nigerian Medical Student Association ( NIMSA) SouthWest Regional Office on Public Health Awareness and Advocacy where his efforts has been instrumental in the actualization of SDG3 in his immediate environment. Shorinolu Samuel is the Pioneer Organizing Officer for the Emerging Leaders Club. He is an advocate of SDGs 3 and 4. Samuel aspires to spread his footsteps not just across Africa but also on the World stage.
