Millennium Fellowship Project: Be BP Smart
BE BP SMART is a public health initiative that advances SDG 3. It is focused on combating hypertension, a silent killer affecting millions globally. The project aims to raise awareness about hypertension, promote lifestyle modifications, and facilitate early detection through free blood pressure screenings. By combining education with action, BE BP SMART empowers individuals to take control of their health and reduces the risk of complications associated with high blood pressure.
About the Millennium Fellow
ADAMS TAOFIK PELUMI is an inspiring and deeply passionate young medical student at Lagos State University, Ikeja. Born and raised in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria, he continues to reside in Lagos while pursuing his studies. From an early age, TaofIk has been driven by a strong commitment to social impact particularly in public health ( with a focus on communicable diseases), education, the environmental sanitation and politics.
His passion stems from a blend of local and international experiences which have fueled his continuous dedication to socal impact advocacy.
Throughout his secondary school years and into his college years, Taofik has successfully organized numerous projects and social impact programs. His outstanding leadership in theseb initiatives reflects his ongoing commitment to making a difference. Looking ahead, Taofik aspires to further cultivate these advocacies in his professional career, contributing to the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
