United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Keep College Clean (KCC)

Project KCC (Keep College Clean) is a project aimed at contributing to environmental sustainability and promoting good health by ensuring a pollution-free environment. Through this project, we hope to address the problems of littering and environmental pollution. We aim to improve health outcomes and encourage environmental sustainability by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation. This project is targeted towards achieving SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
Our objectives are to:
-Launch cleanliness awareness initiatives.
-Advocate for improved toilet facilities to curb unsanitary waste disposal
-Install waste management infrastructure like trash bins to discourage littering.

About the Millennium Fellow

Oyediji Dorcas is a God-fearing, driven and ambitious young lady who hails from SouthWest, Nigeria. She is currently studying Medical Laboratory Science at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria. Growing up in an environment of abject poverty and lack of access to basic healthcare, she faced numerous challenges that threatened her dreams. However, she persisted and her experience propelled her provide sustainable solutions to these problems in her world by her project Tabitha Initiative, an initiative dedicated to eradicating poverty and improving healthcare. She is actively involved in community outreaches, vocational trainings to young people and small scale businesses. She plans to continue her social impact career after graduation. She aspires to be a biomedical scientist in order to apply her knowledge and skills to drive innovation and improvement to healthcare for meaningful impact on humanity. Hers is a story of determination, resilience and focus.
