" Passion driven by experience and pains as a young person was a major motivation.
I am super excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship because it will help this burden to be passed to others and also meet like minded individuals who are also pasion driven to make the world a better place to live.
The skills I will gain from the Millennium Fellowship will make my social impacts to reach more lives. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Preggy Moms Living Healthy

Preggy Moms Living Healthy
The "Preggy Moms Living Healthy" project is designed to educate and support first-time pregnant mothers on the critical role a mother's lifestyle plays during pregnancy. The initiative emphasizes the impact of proper nutrition, adequate rest, emotional well-being, and regular prenatal care on both maternal and fetal health. Through interactive sessions, mothers gain practical knowledge to make informed decisions, ensuring healthier outcomes for themselves and their babies. To encourage participation, symbolic items like cord clamps are presented to participants, reinforcing the project's dedication to promoting maternal health and well-being.

About the Millennium Fellow

Olaniran Gloria is a passionate and dedicated registered nurse hailing from Ondo State, Nigeria. Her commitment to advocating for pregnancy and preconception wellness was profoundly shaped by a personal experience within her family, her sister’s journey through pregnancy and delivery. Witnessing the challenges and triumphs of maternal health firsthand ignited in Gloria a deep-seated drive to ensure that all women receive the care and support they need during these critical stages of life.
With a vision that extends beyond her immediate community, Gloria aspires to contribute meaningfully to the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those focused on health and well-being. She is eager to join and cultivate her advocacy within supportive communities where she can collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations, striving to create a world where every woman has access to comprehensive maternal care. Through her work, Gloria hopes to make a lasting impact on maternal and child health, both in Nigeria and globally.
