" Community and empathy drive my passion to make sure those around me are aware of the power of positive mental health. Creativity and innovative thinking is how I will apply my skills to make change happen. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Guided Growth
Guided Growth Workshops offer first-year students a safe, structured
space to discuss the unique challenges that come with starting
university and to learn practical strategies for a successful, balanced
college experience. The initiative focuses on Sustainable Development
Goal #3 – Good Health and Well-Being – by prioritizing mental wellness
as a core aspect of college success. Through a series of workshops,
students learn how to manage their time, develop stress-management
skills, and maintain good mental health practices that will serve them far
beyond their college years. Our workshops were supplemented with crash courses on academic software specific to our university.
