United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Public Health (Solid Waste Managment)

I've been working on a public health project focused on solid waste management. My goal is to improve waste collection, disposal, and recycling processes to reduce health risks and environmental impact. By implementing sustainable practices and engaging the community, we're aiming to create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone

About the Millennium Fellow

Andrew Ssekidde is an industrious, team player and a supportive collaborator both in the academic and work realm. His background is that from BA economics and practicing public and environmental health, with a bias towards Solid Waste management with a solid 3 years experience working with KCCA, a government Parastatal governing Uganda's capital city.
Andrew has an ardent passion for health and economics and this has acquainted him with the prowess to relate different public health interventions, policies and their economic impact.
Withal, Andrew also has a strong leadership truck evident in his various positions which he holds both at work and throughout his school life. Quite uniquely, he is self-driven and result oriented individual which has always set him apart in his endeavors.
