" "I am thrilled to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship because it aligns with my passion for community-driven change. Growing up in Teso, Uganda, I've witnessed firsthand the impact of collective action on local development. Through my work, I aim to bridge the gap between environmental conservation and community empowerment. The Millennium Fellowship will equip me with the skills and network to amplify my efforts, driving sustainable growth and social justice in my community, and contributing meaningfully to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals." Millennium Fellowship Project: Fruit School

The Fruit School Project aimed to promote environmental conservation, improve nutrition, and enhance livelihoods among school-going children in the Teso sub-region of Uganda. The project involved planting 1000 fruit trees across primary and secondary schools in Ngora and Kumi districts, with the goal of increasing tree cover, providing access to fresh fruits, and generating income for school communities through fruit sales.
