" I’m thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the chance to work alongside passionate individuals committed to bringing some change into the world. This fellowship is an opportunity to expand my efforts in supporting young girls and children, ensuring they have the education and resources they need. I believe that by working together and sharing our experiences, we can make a real difference and build a brighter future for everyone. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Hands of Hope: Bringing Smiles to Children

The Hands of Hope project is dedicated to uplifting the lives of orphaned and sick children in Uganda by providing emotional and material support. Through collaboration with organizations such as The Good Samaritan Sisters Nalukolongo, which cares for orphaned children, and the Children's Cancer Institute at Mulago Hospital, where young patients receive treatment, the project focuses on fostering well-being, happiness, and hope.
The project activities include outreach visits, provision of essential amenities like food, toys, and clothing, and organizing meaningful events such as birthday celebrations. In November, the team, joined by passionate youth leaders, brought joy to dozens of children through cooking, playing games, and sharing moments of love and care.
By addressing both physical and emotional needs, Hands of Hope promotes holistic well-being for vulnerable children, demonstrating the transformative power of kindness and youth action.
