United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: MpaMpe

MpaMpe is an indigenous Ugandan word meaning, give me I give out. Created to solve the challenge of reduced access to quality education due to financial constraints and health affecting challenges among university students.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ryan Lutaaya is a Civil Engineering student at Makerere University in Uganda, deeply committed to empowering his peers through financial literacy. He is driven by the Millennium Fellowship's core values of empathetic and inclusive leadership. Recognizing the critical role financial management plays in sustainable entrepreneurship, Ryan is dedicated to equipping fellow students with the skills they need to build and sustain their own businesses. His work is not just about teaching financial concepts; it’s about fostering a supportive environment where every student can confidently pursue their entrepreneurial goals, contributing to broader economic growth and social impact within the community.
