" I am very ambitious to be a Millennium Fellow because I think that through this process, what we do will be more visible and we will raise more awareness among people. Additionally, in my future work, I will be able to work more professionally thanks to the skills Millennium has given me. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Water Utilization On Campus

The primary aim of our project is to promote the responsible and efficient use of water in our daily environments, from our campus to our homes, and to all the spaces where we spend our time. By engaging with university students, faculty, and the wider community, we hope to cultivate a culture of water conservation and inspire lasting change.
The first of our planned awareness events will take place in November 2024. We are organizing a panel discussion featuring esteemed academics from our university and others. These experts will explore various aspects of water efficiency, conservation practices, and the importance of mindful water usage. This event offers a unique opportunity for students to directly engage with thought leaders and gain deeper insights into sustainable practices.

About the Millennium Fellow

İrfan was born in Ağrı, a small city in eastern Turkey. Because of his interest in politics and international relations and his love of meeting people from different cultures, he decided to study Political Science and International Relations at Manisa Celal Bayar University. Throughout his life, İrfan, together with his friends, tried to help people and solve the problems in the environment he lived in. Sometimes he could not solve these problems, but he did his best to reach institutions that could. In this way, İrfan developed his ability to produce solutions and acquired the habit of teamwork.
