" I am excited about this project because it addresses the harmful commercialization of women's bodies, which has significant negative impacts on young girls. I am deeply motivated by the need to promote gender equality and protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation. This project aligns with my values and offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those focused on gender equality and reducing inequalities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Youth Body Image Awareness Initiative
The aim of this project is to combat the commodification of the female body by capitalism and its use as a commercial tool through media. I seek to raise awareness among youth regarding body image and to develop a critical perspective on the representation and commercialization of the female body in the media. Beyond tangible benefits, the perception of distorted body images leads to the homogenization of individuals and causes them to use their bodies as objects of desire for spiritual gain. Through this project, I will encourage youth to develop a positive body image and critically examine misleading societal norms. In this regard, I plan to organize a panel with field experts as a social impact initiative.
