Millennium Fellowship Project: Sound Advice
Sound Advice was created to increase the level of knowledge about hearing, hearing loss, tinnitus, and to increase the awareness of the dangers of hearing loss. Hearing loss affects everyone from the moment that they are born. What most people don't realize is the extent to which hearing is vital to everyday life. It is the primary method of communication for most people, yet many don't know much about the auditory system. Additionally, most don't know about the dangers of hearing loss, such as increased risk of dementia. To fight this, Sound Advice provides education through lectures on campus as well as social media posts dissecting the information in a way that is easy to understand for anybody.
About the Millennium Fellow
Aidan Fire is a junior currently studying international relations at Meiji Gakuin University. With a keen interest in SDG 3 - Health and Wellbeing, he is dedicated to creating positive change through projects framed by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Aidan’s previous work in his various club activities and projects has equipped him with the skills and drive to make a meaningful difference.
