Millennium Fellowship Project: ReLoved Market
The “Re-Loved Market” offers an innovative way to address several key issues facing Meiji Gakuin University’s student body, including affordability, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. By creating a space where students can collaborate, share resources, and promote eco-friendly products, this project aligns with both the university’s goals and broader sustainability objectives. The Re-loved market is not just a flea market but it also helps Meiji Gakuin students create a platform to showcase their small business and offering eco friendly products to other students to inspire a sustainable future.
With the university support, the event can make a significant positive impact on campus life, while empowering student entrepreneurs and promoting inclusive, sustainable practices.
About the Millennium Fellow
Hanna Osako is a bright and positive student from Meiji Gakuin University. She was born in the United States and grew up with both Japanese and American culture. As a child, Hanna was a curious girl and questioned many things about life. This helped her to think deeper about the society and become interested in learning sociology. She was also inspired by Japanese culture, such as anime and manga, which lead to her dream of living in Japan. Now, she is now studying at a Japanese University and focusing on sociology. Hanna aspires to learn more about social problems and want to take action to help people who are in need. She hopes that through this fellowship program, she will be able to contribute more to society.
