United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Ignite Equality, Transform Lives

The project, Ignite Equality, Transform Lives, is a grassroots initiative to address social inequalities and empower marginalized communities through education, advocacy, and collaboration. This project addresses awareness of equity and inclusion, leadership and advocacy skills, and partnership with organizations to create a ripple in collective action. Activities included interactive workshops, community outreach programs, and resource distribution to achieve equality and empower participants to challenge systemic barriers.

About the Millennium Fellow

Joylyne Margaret Oduori is a dedicated student at Mount Kenya University, pursuing a degree in Medicine and Surgery. Her passion for advocating social justice and gender equality is evident in her commitment to making a positive impact on society. Family-oriented and deeply caring, Joylyne values the importance of community and actively engages in volunteering. Eager to expand her knowledge and experiences, she is enthusiastic about starting her fellowship, where she hopes to further her understanding and contribute meaningfully to her field and beyond.
