Millennium Fellowship Project: Digital Literacy Outreach
Our primary goal is to eliminate misinformation and disinformation by training the younger generation who have not had much exposure to the internet and social media on the rightful use of social media and on information literacy. Our audience learned how to spot false information, the basic rules for verifying the validity and viability of and information and what to do when false information is spotted .
About the Millennium Fellow
Onoka Amarachi Esther is a dynamic and multifaceted student of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Born in Lagos and raised in Abia State, Amarachi is the second of three siblings and the only daughter in her close-knit family. With a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and a natural flair for leadership, Amarachi is poised to make a lasting impact in her field. A stellar academic record, including a strong SSCE performance from her Abia State secondary education, laid the foundation for her academic pursuits. When she's not hitting the books, you can find her belting out tunes or gracing the stage as a certified lead usher (Veve Model International). Grounded in her Christian faith, Amarachi values modesty, humility, and excellence, inspiring others with her infectious energy and dedication.
